The following is the Vision & Mission Statement of the "Indian Council of Carotid Intervention" (ICCI):
Prevention of brain strokes will rapidly assume prominence in the approach towards this major public health problem. Carotid and vertebral stenting have evolved into a promising therapeutic option. The growth of this field of medical practice can benefit by a more organized approach by bringing together experts from the field of neurology, neuro surgery, neuro radiology to a common forum. The primary focus of this council will be new device development, clinical research and educational activities. By acting as a conduit with organization in other parts of the world.
